99.5-03 Power Stroke Turbo Pedestal For deleting the exhaust back pressure valve.

This pedestal is for use with non-wastegated housings or if you have gutted (butterfly removed) the factory exhaust back pressure valve.

7.3 Power Strokes come from the factory with a butterfly valve just after the turbo. The main purpose for this valve is to assist in warming up the engine faster in colder climates. The down side of these are they run off of the engine oil system and after a few years can begin to leak, not work properly such as sticking closed or worse yet rob oil from the turbo and cause turbo failure. By eliminating the restriction in the exhaust this also increases turbo response, TQ, and HP. This is a great addition to our Dominator 66 - D66 turbos (220883).
